Google AdWords

Our website uses Google AdWords, an online advertising programme provided by Google Inc. that uses conversion tracking. When you land on our website via a Google ad, Google AdWords uses conversion tracking to place a cookie on your PC. The cookie is valid for thirty days only and cannot be used to identify you. If as a user you visit our website and the cookie is still working, both we and Google can see that you have clicked on the ad and been taken to our website. As part of this process, every Google AdWords customer is assigned a different cookie. In this way, cookies are not trackable via the websites of AdWords customers. The data acquired via conversion cookies is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers. In this way, we as the customer learn the overall number of users who have responded to our ad and were then transferred to a website where a conversion tracking tag has been installed. This process does not provide us with any information that could be used to identify you as a user personally. If you wish to opt out of the tracking process, the Google conversion tracking cookie can be deactivated via your web browser. For more information, use your browser’s Help function. Further information on Google’s data protection policy can be found here.
