On Monday, the district of Steinfurt (Germany) experienced the format of the Open Space with 120 participants for the first time. This method by Harrison Owen is about non-hierarchical and cross-departmental collaboration. Unlike other events, the topics come from the attending participants. Under the motto “How can WE further develop our mission statement?”, Board members, employees and apprentices have come together in workshops in accordance with their interests and discussed them at eye level. The number of topics and the high level of energy that lasted all day witnessed the drive and motivation of all involved.
