During a guest lecture by Klaus Bremges, CEO of Erste Financial Services GmbH, students got practical insights from an experienced managing director. These were not limited to complex financial portfolios but also included the psychological aspect behind organizational development processes.
On April 15, 2019, Klaus Bremges reported at the invitation of Dr. Hüseyin Özdemir, Dean of Human Resources Management (M.A.) at the Cologne location, from his many years of experience with strategies, setting up company divisions and organizational change processes.
This gave students the opportunity to look behind the scenes at intensive strategy formats, organizational development projects and leadership issues. It became very clear that it sometimes depends heavily on people management, trust and the strategic vision of the leaders. Bremges reported that difficult decisions have to be made over and over again, such as the merging of organizational units, outsourcing of business processes and personnel issues.
First-hand narratives, such as those by Klaus Bremges, give the students practical access and clarify the context of interdisciplinary learning content.
